starting from lying
settle with your knees bent and feet on the floor.
follow the quiet rise and fall of the breath for a while, then
bring your knees over your chest
slowly draw circles on the ground with your lower back
one way then the other – feel your back warming, then
loosely raise both feet into the space above you,
holding the backs of your legs or your feet – or take your arms back behind you if you prefer
wherever feels easy and comfortable
imagine – the out breath flowing down from open feet,
through loose and open legs, through the hip joints and away into the earth,
then fresh breath flooding up into the back and legs. repeat. stay embodied.
