web

a spider’s web – delicate, ethereal – but strong.

it’s strength relies on two things – the thread and the shape.

there is a strong and invisible web, that links yoga teachers together. the thread is the teaching. as each layer, linked to the source, is woven by another teacher, none is a replica of the previous one, just as no student is the same as another, and no practice can be precisely repeated. the web is created from linking to the whole, but also from innovation.

without this innovation yoga would become a cobweb – something lifeless and dusty.

as it is, the web links teachings from the ancient past, via great sages and modern sources. it stretches across a wide world, via travelling teachers, books and shared resources. it grows with creative innovators. and as more people want to learn – it accommodates new ideas.

thank goodness!
